About Us

What is Tic Toc TEN?

Tic Toc TEN Short Performance Festival is a performance arts festival in Regina, Saskatchewan, featuring new works by Saskatchewan artists. The festival was inaugurated in March of 2019. Tic Toc TEN showcases the vast talent that Saskatchewan has to offer by presenting 6-10 performances of 10 minutes each. It is a creative environment and the festival presents an opportunity to network with artists around the province.

We are Saskatchewan based artists. Born here, raised here, theatrically educated here, and wanting to make a life here creating art. Tic Toc TEN was hatched while touring a Fringe show in Hamilton, Ontario. We had a long discussion about how we did not see enough opportunities for new emerging artists to get their name out in the universe. The opportunities were scarce and becoming scarcer, and Tic Toc TEN was born. We wanted a place for emerging artists and established artists to be able to showcase their unique voices and experimental pieces to one another while developing connections with fellow performers from other disciplines.

Our intention is to keep this festival running in Regina as long as there are artists who wish to be heard and share their work. We want to inspire Saskatchewan artists to keep creating, exploring, and trying new things. We will be holding the festival every two years as this allows ourselves as artists and our community to pursue other artistic endeavours.   Our dream is to see Tic Toc TEN  become a staple of the Regina and surrounding areas’ arts community.
